Guideline for Artist's Submissions
Canadian Artists Syndicate Inc. is constantly looking for new artists of all
types to represent.
We are looking for originality from artists who have developed features suitable for newspaper publication and will
not consider anything similar to features we now represent.
We prefer that Artists try to get their features in local papers first.
Features may be submitted to Canadian Artists Syndicate Inc. via our e-mail address -
rvroom@artistsyndicate.ca
(text features only via E-mail, please - graphics tend to be too large and fill
up our mailbox!) or by mail.
If sending samples by mail, do not submit any originals as generally they are not
returned. All submissions are in the strictest of confidence.
The primary things we are looking for in features are:
- Originality
- Features with sufficiently large audience. i.e. National or international.
- Text features should be in approximately 700 word length and available at least once a week.
- Cartoons should be available daily for strips and panels. For editorials, we require minimum 3 per week.
- We are looking for national or world wide exclusive rights for newspaper publications and electronic media.
- Canadian Artists Syndicate Inc. normally pays the artists 50% of all revenues, and all artists contracts are for a period of 5 years.
